I also confused who Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel were because I didn't read all the Marvel comics I wanted as a child. So I went to Google to understand this and I think the version I drew was Miss Marvel, who later evolved into Captain Marvel.

She is a character who has undergone four major transformations since 1968, but she is the same Carol Danvers from the beginning.

It is shameful to admit, but I only understood these transformations in 2019 when I produced this illustration.
